What is the best way to seal around the compartment doors? My (I assume) calking is getting worn and looks terrible. I would like to clean and replace it with a fresh coat of something. Do I use dicor for that?
You can use any silicon based caulk for the sidewalls. However, there is a new product from a company Dekalin called Dekaseal. The benefit is it is like butyle tape in that it does not adhere to the sidewall and can be balled up and dabbed away for a perfect application. So you won’t get those mold lines anymore.
Here is a example after it was applied, using a normal caulking gun and dried a bit.
